First Day at the Farm

What does anyone do with a small baby while it is half term, visit a small farm. We visited one called Sacrewell Farm just off the A1 near Em’s mum. I was a bit sceptical that she’d really know what was was going on but she has started paying attention to birds flying in the sky of late.

The farm is like any standard visitor farm with a variety of animals from rabbits to donkeys which you can feed if you buy some food. There is also a giant soft play area which looks likes every parents nightmare. You can see the parents walking in shaking with fear, luckily Sofia is not yet capable.

She was actually pretty engaged the whole time. Really enjoyed seeing each of the animals, smiling and laughing the whole time.

It was also pretty warm, sun was out for what feels like the first time this year. It was great just sitting sipping tea afterwards basking in the sunshine. It was much needed. There were even snowbells starting to grow. I think Sofia was more interested in eating them.

So all in all this was a successful trip. Both my brothers take their children regularly to their local farm. They’ve always seemed to love it. We have one near us in Standalone farm, somewhere I usually go for a run around. I can see this becoming a regular haunt.
